I am a native of Mississippi, who now calls Louisiana home. You could say I'm a true southern belle. I am married to the most amazing husband, and the bonus mom to a beautiful daughter whom I get to do life with. I get to serve God at Lift City Church. I am a graduate of Jackson State University, The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and The Lift Leadership Institute. Attending these schools offered me experiences that helped shape me into who I am today. Each school played a part in each new chapter of my life. It wasn't the schools specifically but each move represents a new level of my life. Each time I was in a new place, not just physically but mentally and spiritually. Being 20 something is hard! But over the years I truly learned through living. All of the choices I've made were a direct correlation of how I thought of myself in each season. No matter how I saw myself in each of those seasons, I stood on how I perceived myself to be.
This is why I am passionate about helping women seek, find and thrive in their authentic identities. I now know that my authentic identity is the one that God has called me to. It is not my trauma, my performance, or my accolades. Yes, my titles, experiences, education and attributes contribute to who I am but they are not the defining factors. When I truly accepted who God says I am, I GAINED SO MUCH FREEDOM. Mainly the freedom from the expectation of man. So many times we do things based on what we assume others will think of us.
Who wants to live their life for other people? NOT ME! I don't want that for you either! Girl I got you! Let me help you find the beauty in being who God has called you to be.
